MRSPTU Vice-Chancellor Releases Punjabi Book on Information Technology and MS Office Automation….. Bathinda, July 10: Maharaja Ranjit Singh Punjab Technical University (MRSPTU), Vice-Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Sanjeev Kumar Sharma, released the Punjabi-language book Information Technology and MS Office Automation, jointly authored by Dr. Munish Jindal, Associate Professor and Head, Department of Computational Sciences, MRSPTU; Assistant Professor Manjinder Singh; Assistant Professor Manmeet Kaur, MRSPTU and Prof. Malvinder Singh, Principal, Miri Piri Khalsa College, Bhadaur. Congratulating the authors, Prof. Sharma described the publication as a significant step towards promoting Information Technology education among Punjabi-medium students, particularly those from rural backgrounds. He said the availability of quality academic resources in the mother tongue would make learning Information Technology and MS Office Automation more accessible, effective, and student-friendly. Dr. Munish Jindal said the book has been written in simple and practical Punjabi to help students understand the fundamentals of Information Technology and MS Office Automation with ease. Prepared in accordance with the curriculum of the B.A. Computer Science programme of MRSPTU-affiliated colleges, the book aims to strengthen students' conceptual understanding, practical skills, and career readiness. Appreciating the initiative, Prof. Sharma encouraged the faculty of the Department of Computational Sciences to continue developing quality academic resources in regional languages and undertake collaborative initiatives that contribute to excellence in higher education. Er. Harjot Singh Sidhu, Director, Training and Placement, also graced the occasion and congratulated the authors. Faculty members and staff of the Department of Computational Sciences were also present.
