MRSPTU Vice-Chancellor Releases Practical Manual on Fundamentals of Entomology….

Bathinda, July 15:

Maharaja Ranjit Singh Punjab Technical University (MRSPTU), Bathinda, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Sanjeev Kumar Sharma released the practical manual Fundamentals of Entomology, developed by the School of Agriculture Science and Engineering (SASE) for B.Sc. Agriculture students.

Prepared in accordance with the 6th Dean Committee syllabus, the manual has been designed as a comprehensive practical guide for B.Sc. Agriculture students across the University's affiliated colleges. It offers hands-on learning in the fundamentals of entomology, covering insect identification, collection, preservation techniques, and other essential laboratory exercises.

The manual has been authored by Dr. Sukhpreet Kaur, Assistant Professor (SASE), under the guidance of Er. Jasvir Singh Tiwana, Head, School of Agriculture Science and Engineering. Dr. Wineet Chawla, Assistant Professor; Dr. Kanwaljit Singh, Assistant Professor; and Er. Rajinder Singh Smagh, Senior Technician, also contributed significantly to its preparation.

Congratulating the faculty members on this academic achievement, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Sanjeev Kumar Sharma lauded their efforts in developing quality teaching and learning resources. He expressed confidence that the practical manual would strengthen experiential learning, enhance laboratory skills, and serve as a valuable academic resource for agriculture students.

Deputy Registrar Smt. Paramjit Kaur and Assistant Registrar Sh. Vivek Goyal were also present on the occasion.
