The Department is committed to teaching and research excellence in chemical sciences. Faculty members are conducting cutting-edge research in a wide range of areas of basic sciences. It strives to produce students who are sought-after, not only for their theoretical knowledge, but also for their spirit of innovation and problem solving capabilities. Department of Chemistry at MRSPTU is active in the research areas of asymmetric synthesis, organic and medicinal chemistry, heterocyclic synthesis, organometallic catalysis, polymers, nanomaterials, computational chemistry and analytical-electrochemistry.

AIM

'Training & Placement Cell' to cater the needs of students in making them job-ready, employable and industry-suitable with following objectives:

1. Career guidance and personality development through orientation programs, seminars, counseling sessions and workshops.
2. Individualized pre-placement counseling and interaction with experts.
3. Bridge between industrial skill requirement and student skill development.
4. Customized training of students as per industrial demands.
5. Collaboration with stream related industries.
6. Provide support to students to get employed in reputed organization before completion of study.
7. Provide assistance in CV writing, communication skill development and personality improvement.
8. Provide adequate training as per industrial practices during the study.Develop overall personality of students w.r.t. Managerial, Entrepreneurial, Leadership, Communication, Technical and Team working skills.

ACTION PLAN

1. Upgradation and digitalization of Training & Placement Cell for effective implementation.
2. Organization of career counseling seminars, personality and skill development workshops, need based Finishing Schools etc.
3. Visit and interaction with industries for effective participation and job-communication.
4. Inclusion of industry based skill component in the curriculum.
5. Arrangements for in campus and off campus placement drives, job fairs etc.
6. Training and Placement support to students.
