The one-day Beekeeping Program held on March 29, 2024, successfully created awareness about apiculture's potential as a sustainable and profitable venture. Through interactive sessions and practical demonstrations, participants gained valuable insights into modern beekeeping practices. The event inspired students and farmers to adopt apiculture as a supplementary source of income while contributing to environmental conservation.
The students engaged with the local community to understand their challenges and shared insights on improved techniques for livestock and crop management. Hands-on demonstrations and discussions allowed students to apply their classroom knowledge to real-world scenarios. Faculty members provided valuable guidance, ensuring a productive and collaborative learning environment. The activity at Naruana Village was a successful initiative to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application. By interacting with the village community, students gained insights into sustainable farming and livestock management while contributing innovative solutions to local challenges. The event highlighted the importance of experiential learning and strengthened ties between the university and the rural community.
