About School of Agriculture Sciences and Engineering

The School of Agriculture Sciences and Engineering at Maharaja Ranjit Singh Punjab Technical University, Bathinda was established in 2021. The School was started with a vision to be a centre of excellence in Agriculture Sciences and Engineering through academics, research, and outreach services to provide skilled human resource pool of agriculture and allied sector.

Currently, the school is running B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture and B.Tech. (Agricultural Engineering). The programs are dedicated to nurturing the essential skills of the students that are needed to thrive in their professional journeys. In addition to academic coursework, the students are engaged in an Experiential Learning Program (ELP), industrial training, and Rural Agricultural Work Experience (R.A.W.E.), all designed to provide hands-on experience and practical knowledge. Furthermore, the curriculum integrates the syllabus recommended by the ICAR 5th Dean Committee, ensuring alignment with industry standards and contemporary agricultural practices.

The course content designed for the programs covers all the aspects required for qualifying JRF and other examinations. The curriculum also emphasizes on research component during the programs. The School strives to achieve its mission through its team that are highly competent and well- qualified faculty members, well-equipped experiential learning units that facilitate on-site practical training, complemented by personalized mentoring from dedicated mentors. Its world-class infrastructure, including aesthetically designed lecture halls, state-of-the-art laboratories, a well-stocked library, and modern computer facilities, enhances the overall learning experience.
